Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with IRS and state regulations
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic advice to clients on complex tax issues
- Manage client relationships and communicate tax planning opportunities proactively
- Utilize tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSeries) for efficient return processing
- Collaborate with senior associates on audit support and tax compliance projects
- Stay updated on Alaska-specific tax laws and federal tax code changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (internship acceptable)
- Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Active CPA license or progress toward CPA certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills and client service orientation
