Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership federal and state income tax returns.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liability and maximize savings.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax inquiries, filing statuses, and deadlines.
- Collaborate with senior associates and management to improve department processes and workflows.
- Maintain accurate client files and ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or accounting (internships considered).
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, ProSystem fx, UltraTax).
- Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines during tax season.
