Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic advisory services to optimize client outcomes
- Manage client relationships through proactive communication and quarterly tax planning sessions
- Collaborate with senior partners on M&A transactions and international tax compliance
- Utilize tax software (ProSystem fx, UltraTax) for efficient return processing
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 2-4 years of tax preparation experience in public accounting or corporate tax
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory compliance (IRS, state tax codes)
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Jersey City/NYC metro area residency preferred
