Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide accurate recommendations.
- Communicate with clients regarding tax documents, deadlines, and financial inquiries.
- Assist with tax planning strategies to minimize liability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in our accounting software.
- Collaborate with senior accountants on audit preparation and financial statement reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or EA preferred but not required).
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or accounting is a plus.
- Strong understanding of US tax laws and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, UltraTax).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
