Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Conduct tax research to identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax projections.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax status, filings, and audit inquiries.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax files and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of tax software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax, Lacerte) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
