Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local individual and corporate income tax returns.
- Conduct in-depth tax research to ensure compliance with current regulations and tax laws.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax status, filings, and audits.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax footnotes.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and implement necessary adjustments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or EA certification preferred (or actively pursuing).
- 2-5 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax, Lacerte).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
