Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals and C-Corporations.
- Perform tax research to ensure accurate compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial efficiency.
- Conduct year-end accounting processes, including financial statement preparation and account reconciliation.
- Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx Tax, Lacerte, or Drake) to manage filing processes efficiently.
- Maintain accurate client files and ensure all documentation is organized and up to date.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA license preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation (CPA candidates are highly encouraged to apply).
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax codes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines during tax season.
