Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and corporate federal and state income tax returns.
- Conduct tax research to identify potential savings and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform complex tax calculations and projections using industry-standard software (e.g., ProSeries, Lacerte).
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain tax matters clearly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules for audits.
- Stay updated on changing tax laws and implement necessary process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in tax preparation and compliance (CPA or EA certification is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax preparation software.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
