Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with IRS regulations
- Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and deductions
- Conduct tax research to resolve complex client inquiries and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on audit support and tax planning strategies
- Utilize tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte) for efficient return processing
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation for audit readiness
- Provide exceptional client communication and tax education
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of tax preparation experience (CPA/EA candidates preferred)
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
- Professional communication skills with clients and team members
- Texas CPA license or active pursuit of certification
