Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for equipment leasing clients.
- Conduct thorough research on tax regulations specific to equipment and leasehold improvements.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end tax provision processes.
- Assist in the preparation of schedules and worksheets related to equipment depreciation and amortization.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax filings and audit findings.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws affecting the equipment and leasing industries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 2-4 years of experience in corporate tax or equipment tax compliance.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) license is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, UltraTax) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
