Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and state individual and corporate income tax returns, including extensions and estimated payments.
- Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues and ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax projections for audit purposes.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and explain tax findings.
- Participate in tax planning strategies to help clients minimize tax liability and maximize financial efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the timely filing of all required tax documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required; Master’s degree (MS Tax) preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or currently pursuing licensure.
- 2-5 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax is preferred.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (ProSeries, Lacerte, or UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.
