Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and business income tax returns (Form 1040, 1120, 1065, 1120S) with accuracy and efficiency.
- Communicate with clients regarding tax-related inquiries, document requests, and filing status updates.
- Stay current with changes in federal and state tax laws to ensure full compliance for all clients.
- Assist in the preparation of complex tax schedules, financial statements, and other supporting documentation.
- Perform basic tax research and resolve tax issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure seamless integration of tax and accounting services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation required; Master’s degree or CPA designation preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting (internships considered).
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSeries, Drake, Lacerte, or TurboTax Enterprise).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
