Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns for accuracy, compliance, and optimization.
- Conduct thorough tax research to interpret complex federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax footnotes, and supporting schedules.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax filings, deadlines, and complex inquiries.
- Collaborate with senior staff on audit support, tax planning initiatives, and special projects.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax legislation and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA, EA, or Master’s in Taxation is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte, or CCH Axcess).
- Strong analytical skills with an exceptional eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
