Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns with precision and adherence to strict deadlines.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of complex financial statements and supporting tax schedules.
- Communicate effectively with clients to resolve tax-related inquiries and provide expert advice.
- Review and audit tax documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with senior team members to develop effective tax strategies for clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- CPA, EA, or MST certification is preferred but not required for this entry-to-mid-level position.
- 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Drake, ProSeries, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
