Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth credit risk assessments for commercial and consumer loan applications
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and industry trends
- Prepare detailed credit memoranda with actionable recommendations
- Monitor existing portfolios for early risk identification
- Collaborate with relationship managers on structuring optimal credit solutions
- Stay current with regulatory compliance (FIRREA, Dodd-Frank)
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for high-exposure accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics
- 3+ years of credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- CFA or FRM designation preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel financial modeling
- Strong understanding of GAAP and credit scoring models
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Experience with lending software (e.g., Moody's RiskCal, FICO)
