Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual and corporate federal and state income tax returns with a high degree of accuracy.
- Conduct thorough tax research to interpret complex tax laws and regulations and ensure full compliance.
- Communicate complex tax concepts to clients in a clear, professional, and actionable manner.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, workpapers, and supporting schedules for audits.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to help clients minimize liabilities.
- Maintain accurate client records and manage the organization of tax documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA licensure is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ProSystem fxTax) and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
