Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns ensuring compliance with IRS/Texas regulations
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic advice on complex tax scenarios
- Manage client relationships through regular communication and proactive tax planning
- Collaborate with senior advisors on multi-state tax filings and audits
- Maintain accurate documentation in tax preparation software (ProSystem fx, UltraTax)
- Identify tax savings opportunities through deductions and credits
- Stay current on tax law changes through continuous education
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA license or active pursuit (preferred)
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience
- Proficiency in tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or CCH Axcess)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Texas CPA license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
