Responsibilities
- Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with precision
- Conduct tax research and compliance reviews for complex business structures
- Advise clients on tax optimization strategies and IRS audit support
- Utilize ProSystem fx and other tax software for efficient processing
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on multi-state filings
- Develop client relationships through proactive communication
- Stay updated on Missouri tax legislation and federal tax code changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA license or active pursuit required
- 2+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Proficiency in tax software (ProSystem fx, Lacerte, or CCH Axcess)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Kansas City business community knowledge preferred
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in fast-paced environment
