Responsibilities
- Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and corporate clients
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic advice on complex tax matters
- Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and Texas tax codes
- Manage client relationships and communicate tax planning opportunities
- Collaborate with senior team members on audit support and tax controversy cases
- Utilize tax software (e.g., Lacerte, ProSystem fx) for efficient processing
- Stay updated on tax law changes and implement best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA license or active pursuit preferred
- 3+ years of tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of IRS tax codes and Texas state tax regulations
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
