Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and ensure compliance with IRS regulations
- Review financial statements and identify optimization opportunities
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex tax cases
- Maintain accurate client documentation and tax records
- Provide responsive client communication and tax education
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1+ years of tax preparation experience (CPA/Master's preferred)
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProSystem, Lacerte)
- Strong knowledge of federal and Alaska state tax codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid Alaska driver's license (client travel required)
- Ability to start employment within 24 hours of offer
