Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and audits, coordinating with external auditors.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain and update the general ledger system, including journal entries and accruals.
- Support budget preparation and variance analysis for department heads and management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, federal, and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reconciliation processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
