In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. We are actively hiring for positions in Chicago and have remote opportunities available for candidates in Ohio.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date in our accounting software.
- Collaborate with the finance team to optimize cash flow and budget management.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Willingness to travel to Ohio branches for quarterly audits if required.
