Meridian Operations Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our rapidly expanding finance team in Austin, Texas. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and supporting the strategic growth of the company.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger operations and ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Prepare and review complex financial statements in accordance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Perform account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of tax schedules and support external auditors during annual audits.
- Collaborate with department heads to analyze variances and improve financial reporting processes.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and cross-functional team collaboration.
