Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records, ensuring all entries are posted correctly and reconciled daily.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Process Improvement: Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency.
- Compliance: Support the finance team during audits and tax preparations, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assistance: Provide support to the Controller and Finance Director on special projects and ad-hoc reporting needs.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure high accuracy in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of professionalism, ethical standards, and confidentiality.
