Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and collateral data to assess borrower creditworthiness
- Prepare comprehensive credit memos and risk assessments for commercial loan approvals
- Monitor existing loan portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential defaults
- Collaborate with loan officers to structure competitive loan terms aligned with risk appetite
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and internal lending policies
- Develop financial models to project cash flows and repayment scenarios
- Maintain accurate documentation for audit and regulatory reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and credit assessment software
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial ratios, and risk metrics
- Experience with SBA lending and commercial real estate financing
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for presenting complex financial data
- Credit certification (CRCM, CMB) preferred
