Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure all financial data is up-to-date and error-free.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex bank and credit card reconciliations, as well as intercompany account reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely payments while monitoring accounts receivable.
- Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and assist with year-end audits.
- Tax Assistance: Support the tax team in the preparation and filing of local, state, and federal tax returns.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2-4 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to analyze data and spot discrepancies with a high degree of accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
