Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger (GL): Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed timely.
- Compliance & Audits: Assist in external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure cash balances are accurate.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to present complex financial data clearly.
- Work Ethic: Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
