Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and monthly reports for management review.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with GAAP and internal company policies.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices and manage accounts receivable collections efficiently.
- Close Process: Assist in the monthly and year-end closing processes to meet all deadlines.
- Tax Support: Assist in the preparation of local and federal tax filings as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Experience: 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
- Software: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Skills: Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
