Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, trial balances, and variance reports in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist with the year-end audit process and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth process.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and process journal entries and maintain the fixed asset register.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
