Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit analysis of loan applications, financial statements, and business plans.
- Assess borrower capacity, character, and capital to determine credit limits and terms.
- Monitor existing accounts for early warning signs of financial distress.
- Prepare detailed credit memos and present recommendations to the credit committee.
- Maintain accurate credit files and documentation in our ERP system.
- Collaborate with sales and underwriting teams to streamline the approval process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analysis or commercial lending.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and financial modeling.
- Experience with credit scoring models (e.g., FICO) and risk management software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
