Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations and individuals
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning advice on M&A transactions
- Manage IRS audit defense and represent clients before tax authorities
- Lead tax compliance projects for multi-state operations
- Mentor junior associates and optimize department workflows
- Develop innovative tax savings strategies for diverse client portfolios
Qualifications
- CPA certification or active EA license required
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting
- Expertise in S-Corporations, Partnerships, and Trust taxation
- Advanced proficiency in tax software (Lacerte, ProSystem fx)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and client management abilities
- Master's degree in Taxation or related field preferred
