Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate and individual clients
- Conduct tax research and planning to optimize client tax positions
- Manage IRS audits and correspondence with tax authorities
- Develop client relationships through quarterly tax consultations
- Maintain compliance with FASB and IRS regulations
- Supervise junior associates on complex tax engagements
- Utilize tax software (Lacerte, ProSystem fx) for efficient processing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Excel
- Strong knowledge of federal and California tax codes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Valid CPA license or actively pursuing certification
- Exceptional communication and client management skills
