Responsibilities
- Prepare and file complex federal, state, and international tax returns for corporate and individual clients
- Conduct tax research and provide strategic planning advice on M&A transactions, reorganizations, and cross-border operations
- Manage IRS audits and state tax controversies with precision and expertise
- Develop and implement tax optimization strategies for S-Corps, partnerships, and multi-state entities
- Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance with all tax regulations and firm quality standards
Qualifications
- CPA certification or active pursuit with 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Advanced proficiency in tax software (e.g., UltraTax, ProSystem fx, Thomson Reuters)
- Demonstrated expertise in multi-state tax compliance and international tax matters
