Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform detailed reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of external audits and coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to management to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a significant plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-growth environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and ERP systems.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
