Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Account Management: Manage general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Payroll Oversight: Assist in the preparation of payroll records and reconciliation of payroll taxes to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure the organization remains compliant with local, state, and federal tax laws and financial regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
