Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform monthly and year-end general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Conduct audits and review financial data for accuracy and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices for remote workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
