Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 15-20 SMB clients using QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly financial statements with variance analysis and KPI reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes including reconciliations
- Coordinate sales tax filings and payroll processing for California-based entities
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with audit teams during external examinations
- Mentor junior accountants on best practices and software proficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience with California clients
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and accounting software
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, California tax codes, and payroll regulations
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote setting
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with SaaS company accounting a strong plus
