As a Remote Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of our clients and our internal operations. We prioritize transparency, innovation, and a supportive remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L) in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations and inter-company account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Compliance & Audit: Assist in external and internal audits, providing requested documentation and supporting schedules.
- Remote Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and remote staff to resolve discrepancies and support business decisions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Software: Experience with accounting software like NetSuite, Sage, or Dynamics is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Self-Motivation: Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet strict deadlines without direct supervision.
