Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for diverse client portfolios including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports with meticulous attention to detail
- Implement and optimize accounting systems ensuring SOX compliance and internal control effectiveness
- Lead financial audits and tax preparation processes while serving as primary point of contact for client inquiries
- Develop strategic financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making and growth initiatives
- Mentor junior accountants using virtual collaboration tools while maintaining client confidentiality
- Automate accounting workflows using advanced Excel functions and ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA certification required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with Big 4 or mid-sized firm background
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record in managing multi-state compliance requirements and audit procedures
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data and deliver actionable insights
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in client-facing virtual environments
