As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards, and driving strategic decision-making from anywhere in the US.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements with high accuracy.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate, reconciled, and posted in a timely manner.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the full cycle of AP and AR processes, including vendor relations, invoice processing, and collections.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure the company remains compliant with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist in external and internal audits.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in payroll processing and ensure proper documentation of payroll-related transactions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement new financial software or automation tools.
- Budgeting: Support the annual budgeting process and provide variance analysis to management.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage Intacct; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup) are mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to data entry and financial analysis with zero tolerance for errors.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fully remote environment.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with cloud-based ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
