This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in Phoenix while collaborating with industry experts. We're seeking a meticulous professional to manage complex financial operations, ensure compliance, and provide strategic insights to support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting for 10-15 diverse clients, including AP/AR, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes ensuring GAAP compliance
- Coordinate with auditors and tax professionals during annual reviews
- Implement and optimize accounting systems (QuickBooks Online, Xero) for efficiency
- Provide financial consulting to clients on cash flow optimization and tax strategies
- Maintain meticulous financial records with zero-tolerance for errors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and Excel with advanced functions
- Proven track record of managing multi-client portfolios remotely
- Deep understanding of Arizona state tax regulations and GAAP standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor or equivalent technical certification
