Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with precise analytical commentary
- Oversee bank reconciliations, expense reporting, and compliance documentation
- Implement and optimize accounting systems for remote collaboration efficiency
- Conduct financial audits and ensure SOX/GAAP compliance across all operations
- Collaborate with department heads on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Mentor junior accounting staff through virtual training sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work proficiency
- Expertise in QuickBooks Online, Xero, and advanced Excel functions
- Proven ability to manage multi-state compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written/verbal communication for virtual stakeholder interactions
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and accounting automation tools
