Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and optimize cash flow management
- Prepare and file tax returns ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Implement internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in tech/startup environments
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and California tax regulations
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting cycles
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong written/verbal communication for stakeholder reporting
- Experience with remote team collaboration tools (Slack, Asana)
