The Role:
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the full-cycle accounting process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial planning. You will act as a key partner to our management team, translating complex financial data into actionable business intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide requested documentation.
- Streamline financial reporting processes using advanced Excel and accounting software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with high levels of organization and time management.
