Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting cycles including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations
- Lead financial reporting processes for stakeholders and executive leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial integrity
- Collaborate with auditors during financial reviews and tax compliance processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with UK regulatory knowledge
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel
- Proven experience with multi-currency transactions and international finance operations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for financial reporting
- Experience managing remote teams and distributed financial operations
