Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle payroll process for a diverse workforce of over 500 employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including FLSA and tax laws.
- Process complex payroll adjustments, garnishments, and deductions accurately.
- Prepare and analyze payroll reports, variance analysis, and year-end tax reconciliation documents.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in ADP Workforce Now and internal systems.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries efficiently.
- Oversee the preparation of W-2s and 1099s for distribution.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a high-volume or senior specialist role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, including state-specific regulations in Nevada.
- Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors before processing.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining payroll policies to staff and management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
