Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll for 500+ employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations (IRS, AK DOL)
- Manage garnishments, deductions, and 401(k) contributions with precision
- Conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies proactively
- Generate payroll reports for leadership and external auditors
- Collaborate with HR on new hire onboarding and terminations
- Maintain confidential employee payroll records and documentation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- ADP certification or equivalent payroll software expertise
- Deep knowledge of Alaska payroll tax regulations
- Proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems (Workday, SAP)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven problem-solving skills with payroll discrepancies
- Ability to meet strict deadlines during payroll cycles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
