Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll bi-weekly for exempt/non-exempt employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Manage garnishments, deductions, tax filings, and year-end reconciliations
- Conduct payroll audits and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Prepare payroll reports for executive leadership and external auditors
- Implement new payroll legislation and compliance requirements (FLSA, FICA, state laws)
- Collaborate with HR on onboarding/offboarding and employee benefit changes
Qualifications
- 3+ years payroll processing experience with multi-state compliance
- ADP Workforce Now certification or equivalent ERP expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables) and payroll systems
- Deep understanding of FLSA, IRS 941/940, and Virginia payroll regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation strongly preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail with 0% tolerance for errors
