Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state employees using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations (FLSA, FICA, LA state laws)
- Oversee year-end tax filings (W-2s, 1099s, 941s) and audit preparations
- Implement and optimize payroll system integrations with HRIS and accounting platforms
- Lead payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Advise management on payroll best practices and process improvements
- Train and mentor junior payroll staff on compliance procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of payroll experience with multi-state operations
- Expertise in ADP Workforce Now and QuickBooks Payroll
- Advanced knowledge of FLSA, garnishment laws, and local tax requirements
- Proven experience leading payroll audits and system implementations
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail (0.01% error tolerance)
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
