Responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll cycles using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring 100% accuracy and timely distribution
- Manage year-end tax filings, W-2 generation, and 1099 processing for diverse employee structures
- Develop and implement payroll process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on benefits administration, garnishments, and compensation adjustments
- Conduct internal payroll audits and prepare compliance reports for federal/state regulations
- Lead payroll system upgrades and integration with HRIS platforms
- Train junior payroll staff on compliance requirements and system functionalities
Qualifications
- 5+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience with ADP or similar systems
- Advanced knowledge of FLSA, FICA, and state-specific payroll regulations
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and payroll reporting tools
- Proven experience managing garnishments, tax levies, and complex deductions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to resolve payroll discrepancies
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder collaboration and process documentation
